South Africa Women vs Sri Lanka Women, 20th T20 Match, Group A, ICC Womens T20 World Cup 2016

South Africa take on Sri Lanka in Match 20 of the ICC Women’s World T20 2016. This will the final match of the group stages ahead of the knockout stages that begin in a couple of days. South Africa played a three-match T20 International (T20) against West Indies ahead of the tournament at home and would have hoped to get some good practice ahead of the tournament before they start their campaign against Pakistan at Chennai. Ahead of the T20I series South Africa were in bad shape as they lost an One-Day International (ODI) series against West Indies and also lost a T20I series against England before that.

Sri Lanka play a couple of warm-matches ahead of the tournament against Bangladesh and India before they kick start their campaign against New Zealand at Delhi. South Africa finished as semi-finalists in the  previous edition, which is their best finish. Sri Lanka on the other hand have never made it out of their group in the competition so far.

Both teams do not have particularly good records going into the tournament. While South Africa have just five wins from their 15 matches, Sri Lanka have just four win from 16 games. Both teams will want to finish the group stages with a win under their belts.source-cricketcountry
